Kell Brook Vs Carson Jones |
After months of injury frustration Kell Brook made his return
to the ring with an eighth-round stoppage victory over old nemesis Carson
Jones. Brook who was on the verge of world honours saw title fights with Devon
Alexander fall through on three occasions. This fight came after a ring absence
that goes back to October and against an opponent who in their last fight took
Brook to the brink of defeat. However Brook came out looking very sharp and his
lightning right hands were landing at will. A fierce barrage of punches sent
Jones to one knee. The third round saw much the same as Jones was eating shots
from Brook. Just like in their previous fight jones wasn’t going to go down
easily and he came out fighting in the fourth landing combinations that drew
blood from the nose of Brook. Although Brook was starting to feel the pace of
the fight in the fifth he was still landing the better shots. The seventh round
saw another break through for Brook after a big upper cut knocked Jones off
balance you could sense that this fight could end prematurely. In the eighth
Brook came out all guns blazing and landed some vicious right hands in which
Jones was given a standing count. Brook could now sense the end and went in for
the kill; with Jones on the ropes absorbing punishment the referee brought a
halt to the fight.

Luke Campbell Vs Andy Harris |
Luke Campbell made a dream start to his professional
career with a first round stoppage of Andy Harris. The Olympic gold medalist
had his opponent off balance with a right hook high to the head. Harris then
took another handful of shots and the crowd could sense the end was near.
Campbell then had his opponent pinned into a corner and unleashed some bitter
blows in which the referee had no choice but to wave the fight off after just
one minute 28 seconds.

Anthony Ogogo Vs Gary Boulden |
Anthony
Ogogo continued his unbeaten professional career with a fifth round stoppage
win over Gary Boulden. Ogogo looked slick and sharp from the start and the win
never looked in doubt for the Olympic bronze medallist. Ogogo had his opponent
down in the fourth and it was clear he was in trouble. The Brit upped the pace
in the fifth in which Boulden just couldn’t handle it and after a flurry of accurate
shots from Ogogo referee Howard Foster stepped in and called it off.
