Unbeatable?

Floyd Mayweather remains unbeaten with a stylish win over Saul Alvarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather showed pure class and artistry as he made Alvarez look average and ponderous at times. Many will be saying Mayweather schooled Alvarez after showing superior defensive skills and perfectly stepping in and out of the range of his opponent. It was a frustrating night for Canelo, the young Mexican kept trying to force the fight but every time he did Mayweather made him pay. Once the fight got to the final round Mayweather stayed completely out of range and cruised home to victory. The fight ended with the scores of 117-111, 116-112 and a controversial 114-114. This fight was Mayweather’s biggest payday with a guaranteed $41.5m before pay-per-view revenues are totted up. The American remains the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet.
