Weekends Action!!!!

Lee Selby Vs Joel Brunker
Lee Selby set up a shot at the IBF featherweight world title after an impressive stoppage win against Joel Brunker. After a cagey and cautious start Selby looked a class above throughout with his quick hands and slick movement. Selby finished his man off in the ninth with a spiteful left hook to Brunker’s ribs, which was then followed by a barrage of punches including a left to the head. Brunker was left slumped on the bottom rope struggling to balance, it gave the ref no option but to stop the fight and hand Selby a well deserved victory.

Anthony Joshua Vs Denis Bakhtov

Anthony Joshua produced another destructive knockout performance after he stopped Denis Bakhtov within two rounds. Many thought this would be Joshua’s toughest test but the Olympic Gold medallist exhibited his ferocious power from the start. Bakhtov done well to make it past round one and had to receive treatment on a cut eye at the interval. Round two proved to be Baktov’s last as Joshua homed in on his prey and unleashed a barrage of head shuddering punches and although Bakhtov showed amazing courage to just about stay on his feet the referee had no option but to stop the fight.
