Hearns Wants Original Kronk Gym Re-Opened For Steward!

Tommy Hearns went back to the Kronk gym on west warren, sat on the edge of the boxing ring the great Hearns was overcome with sadness. The world had lost a true legend and Hearns had lost his mentor, his friend and a man who he saw as a father. The piercing brown eyes of Hearns were filled with tears, which showed how much Steward meant to him and the rest of the boxing world. Hearns talked about how much Steward was an inspiration to him and made him the man he is today. He and a dozen others sat in the gym reminiscing and reflecting on the loss of steward. The gathering really showed the heart ache of Stewards passing at it’s rawest. Hearns went on to say “if there was anything that could be done to honour Steward now, it would be to reopen the original Kronk gym”. He also said “if they could clean up the building on McGraw and re-open the gym there, it would be awesome; it would make Emanuel proud and happy”.  I think we can all agree that no matter if you’re boxing legend like Tommy Hearns or just a boxing fan; the loss of Emanuel Steward is devastating.
