Kell Brook
silenced any critics he had after his last fight against Carson Jones with a
third round stoppage of Hector Saldivia. Brook looked a different class from
start to finish and had Saldivia on his back in the first round with a straight
left and a sharp right uppercut. It was much more of the same in the second as
both Saldivia’s eyes became marked up. Brook’s constant pressure became too much
and early in the third round he caught Saldivia with a thudding straight left
that sent him backwards onto the canvas. Although he managed to get to his feet,
Saldivia’s legs had deserted him and the referee waved the fight off. Brook
really needed a big performance in this fight and he certainly didn’t disappoint.
All the changes he’s made in his training camp have most definitely paid off.
